Abstract :
Differential Interferometric synthetic aperture radar (DInSAR) has been proved an important technique for monitoring mining subsidence. However, it is difficult to obtain the robust deformation results by exploiting a single interferogram due to spatial-temporal decorrelation and atmospheric artifacts. In this paper, a multi-temporal InSAR technique is described and applied to derive the time series surface displacements of the mining area in Henan, China. The retrieved ground deformation sequences agree well with the development of the coal mining. The results demonstrate that multi-temporal InSAR data fusion approach is more suitable to investigate mining subsidence than conventional DInSAR technology.
