Abstract :
A novel dual-frequency microstrip patch antenna for WLAN applications is presented and demonstrated. By embedding two pairs of arc shaped slots with a narrow slot protruding at each side, dual-band operation, with its operating mode centered at about frequencies 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz, has been obtained. The proposed antenna has good gain and its impedance bandwidths defined by VSWR=2 can meet the requirements of dual ISM bands.
