Abstract
The Department Of Defense (DoD) makes extensive use of modeling and simulation technology to generally enhance its operations and decision-making processes. Specific applications include: operations planning; research, development and acquisition; testing and evaluation; education and training; and resource allocation. This discussion reflects on the progress the DoD has made in applying modeling and simulation technology, considers current issues and reflects on what the future holds.
