Abstract
Consultants, as an important segment of the manufacturing simulation community, have not had sufficient representation under previous WSC program formats. Consultant information has been limited to presenting project results and several "how to work with a consultant" sessions. By sharing their views and experiences, the authors highlight the role consultants play as technology transfer agents between the simulation software developers and industrial users. They also provides a "behind-the-scenes" look at some issues facing today\´s manufacturing simulation consultants.
