Abstract
This work presents the design of frequency response masking (FRM) filter using an even-length filter as bandedge shaping filter. The optimization of each subfilter is carried out with the help of the sequential quadratic programming (SQP) technique. It is show by means of examples, that the proposed FRM filters with even-length bandedge shaping filter leads to designs comparable to the original filters.
