Abstract
The most adopted communication technology in Smart Grids is PLC (Power Line Communications). The key advantage of PLC systems is that there is no additional wiring required other than the existing power cables. It´s economically attractive to use PLC in Smart Grid applications like Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), distribution automation, street light control, public charging.
