Abstract :
Experimental results for a ferroelectric radiating element to be used in a mobile communication system antenna are presented. The theory for a linear dielectric antenna excited by HE/sub 11/ mode is improved for optimal analysis of this structure aimed at improved performance of an antenna composed of ferroelectrics that come under the category of nonlinear dielectrics. Experimental radiation characteristics of this radiating element at 400 MHz show that this device can be used for mobile communication system.<>
