Abstract
The interaction of a variable thickness hybrid shaped A-sandwich radome and a slotted waveguide planar array seeker antenna is studied using ray tracing with aperture integration method. In order to make more accurate EM performance predictions of the antenna-radome system, the study incorporates the gimbal rotational offsets and the excitation characteristics of the slot radiators of the antenna. EM performances of variable thickness and constant thickness A-sandwich designs are compared.
