Abstract :
Strong concern for the global environmental issues has brought dramatic growth of clean energy market. In order to meet huge demand for solar energy, together with our expansion of the production of the crystalline Si wafer based solar PVs, we have been researching and developing thin film silicon technologies and have started mass-production of crystalline thin-film silicon based solar cells and modules in 2005. These new crystalline thin-film silicon based PV products were successfully launched into market with a higher conversion efficiency, higher energy yield performance and estimated long-term reliability based on our device and module technologies. In this article, our activities for the thin-film silicon device and module technologies, as well as our thin-film silicon PV products, are outlined.
