Abstract :
An efficient PIT is proposed based on HINT (Hierarchical INTerpolation). Instead of working on a fixed size, a variable block size based on quadtree is used to reduce interblock correlation thereby increasing the efficiency of HINT. Progressive refinement is implemented by adding more details which are coded by HINT in each segmented area.
