Abstract :
This paper employs the qualitative and quantitative methods to conduct an empirical study on computer and internet aided multimodal English listening and speaking by collecting 191 questionnaires supplemented by interview and by applying Z-test of related samples with the pre- and post-tests. The results show that students still need to enhance their understanding of this multimodal learning mode; the modes “internet” and “ video” help students most; and the students´ English listening and speaking ability has improved a lot which is supported by Z-test result compared with traditional way of education in English Listening and speaking. The results also indicate the feasibility and operability of multimodal English listening and speaking with the rapid development of science and technology, Internet and Information.
