Abstract
This paper presents a novel approach based on neural networks to suppress propagating second harmonic in nonlinear imaging. Harmonic imaging can improve contrast between contrast agents and tissue when imaging microvasculature. However, the harmonics generated by the body decrease the contrast as the ultrasound signal propagates through it. Here, the method can improve contrast between contrast agents and the surrounding tissue for harmonic imaging. Simulations have shown the level of second harmonic signals can be reduced more using this method
