Abstract
An adaptive threshold selection algorithm for edge detection in colour images has been proposed in this paper. Initially, gradient of every component of colour images was calculated by using sobel operator. Then the centres of gravity of histogram of gradients are estimated and assigned to be thresholds for each colour component.
