Abstract
A new algorithm for digital processing of signals of a two channels infrared flame detector is given. The new algorithm has two major benefits: It is robust against disturbing radiation and can detect fires, even when strong disturbing radiation is present. Furthermore it is realizable on cheap microcontrollers and has a short reaction time
