Abstract
This paper presents the results of a spectroscopic study (from 200 to 850 nm) of the light emitted by streamers initiated in cyclohexane and n-pentane under step voltage in point-plane geometry. The gap distance was in the mm range (2 to 5 mm). The experimental conditions (point radius, pulse rise time, liquid purification, etc.) were strictly controlled in order the measurements of spectra as a function of different parameters (point polarity, voltage, hydrostatic pressure) to be valid
