Abstract :
A new class of multibit Continuous-Time Sigma-Delta Modulators (CT-SDMpsilas) is presented in this paper. The multibit stream in the quantizer output is converted to a single-bit Pulse Width (PW) modulated signal and fed back to the modulator input through a Finite Impulse Response (FIR) Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC). The resulting architecture does not require Dynamic Element Matching (DEM) and it is very robust against clock jitter.
