Abstract :
In this paper the behavior of the position angle of the SRM (switched reluctance motor) has been represented by a saw-tooth wave of variable frequency depending on the reference speed. The uniqueness of this model lies in a simple algorithm for estimating the motor position for a sensorless drive of SRM. Simulation results show accurate performance for sensorless 8/6 SRM without any changes in control parameters for different speed and at different loads.
