Title :
Optimal power allocation for the reverse link in a multimedia DS-CDMA system
Abstract :
A new approach is developed to analyze multimedia DS-CDMA systems in order to determine optimal power allocation for the reverse link. The new approach handles different performance requirements of different multimedia services efficiently and defines the capacity in terms of a single parameter (viz. total number of active users per sector) regardless of the number of services offered in the network. The effect of power control imperfections and power allocation on the system capacity is investigated in this paper
