A tool for editing clinical guidelines

With the increasing expansion and complication of medical information, it is important that the patient´s condition carries on diagnose and treatment recommendation. Therefore, clinical guidelines are used to create better pratising platform, and they also support physicians and medics in the diagnostic and treatment process. Clinical guidelines (CGLs) are central to the implementation of clinical decision support systems (CDSSs). In this paper, we propose an XML-based format to represent the clinical guidelines and develop a clinical guideline expert editor (CGEE) to realize the translation. It is more convenient for experts to edit the CGLs that will be applied in CDSS.
