Abstract
The factor decomposition method has been used in many fields, but there is a problem of distributing the changes in cross caused by various factors at the same time. The previous studies offer quite a few ways to solve the problem like calculus factor analysis and influence coefficient method, but they are not persuasive and their calculations are complicated. In this paper, an idea of average distribution on the amount of changes in cross was proposed to modify the factor decomposition method. It divided the changes in cross equally among factors. Based on the modified method, this paper analyzed the relationship between provincial electric energy intensity and the two factors that refer to power utilization efficiency and industrial structure, from which to reveal the influence law of the changes of the two factors. Finally, the data analysis of Guangdong Province from 2000 to 2009 demonstrates the efficiency of the algorithm.
