Abstract :
The operating characteristics of independent wind-solar hybrid power system are analyzed for the purpose of improving energy conversion efficiency and system reliability in this paper. A coordinated control method that regulates the operation of power generation units according to the state of energy storage unit is proposed. The hybrid simulation studies, which are based on MATLAB/Simulink/Powersystem/ Stateflow are carried out due to the coexistence of continuous and discrete system feature in independent wind-solar hybrid power system. The results indicate that system can reasonably regulated energy flow at different weather conditions and load. Therefore, the suggested coordinated control method can ensure independent wind-solar hybrid power system optimizing operation.
