Abstract
In this summary, a new basis function is proposed in the method of moments for compact differential lines, based on real physical insights. The new basis function is defined on a pair of rectangular cells, which is constructed by a roof-top function along the line direction and a polynomial along the line cross section. The polynomial is obtained by fitting the charge distribution solved in a corresponding two-dimensional static problem. Numerical results are given to test the validity and accuracy of the proposed basis function.
