Abstract :
Summary form only given. The frame processing and video segmentation for real-time and high compression MPEG-4 are demonstrated. A real-time camera image input and motion detection algorithm is designed for practical MPEG-4 coding, and a video object segmentation technique to extract VOP for binary shape coding is described. This newly developed MPEG-4 encoding system can be used in a variety of multimedia applications.
