Abstract :
Impact on Sacramento Municipal Utility District primary and secondary utility power distribution circuits of a residential subdivision equipped with photovoltaic power generation systems is discussed. For comparison, energy consumption patterns of an adjoining subdivision with high efficiency measures only are also reviewed. Voltage impact on the primary distribution circuit is observed to be negligible, and voltage impact on secondary circuits is observed to be under one-half volt on a 120V basis. PV generation occurring during system and local demand peaks is discussed.
