Abstract :
Zero-Energy Buildings (ZEBs) have recently become a trend for future constructions. It remains challenging to design control systems for such buildings that require energy-efficiency and employ renewable energy. In this paper, we describe a simulation platform that can be used to energy management and comfort improvement in buildings. This platform provides a method to users to manage buildings through Graphical User Interface (GUI). A multi-agent control system is applied to building operation to manage various comfort demands. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is used to optimize the control system to improve users´ comfort and save energy.
