Abstract :
This paper reports an examination which observes the energy-saving and comfortable living environment using thermal radiative cooling/heating system. This system has a characteristic of cooling or heating the residential house or apartment without blowing wind. The thermal radiative cooling/heating system has been investigated in the actual residence, compared with a new air-conditioner of a high energy-saving. As a result, although the processes of heat exchange differ, it turns out that thermal radiative cooling/heating system has the performance which is equal to the newest air-conditioner with more desired specifications. On the other hand, it has been found the big possibility of the electric- power-demand peak-cut operation based on the thermal storage nature of water which is one of the features of the proposed system.
