Abstract
A brief review is presented of the historical development of the standards for high-voltage impulse measurements. Test procedures based on new standards for an impulse measuring system, consisting of an impulse divider and a digital recorder, are discussed. The practical implementation of the tests requires some additional testing equipment. Commercially available calibration and testing equipment that has a high degree of automation and thus assures that the accuracy of a measuring system can be maintained is described
