  • Abstract
The architecture of the MONET Washington W.C. area multivendor network resulting from merging wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) rings was analyzed and designed. Connectivity, protection capabilities, and system interoperability were the main considerations for comparison amongst the candidate architectures.
