Abstract
Describes Frameworks for Aiding Decisions (FAD), the goal being to provide decision support or to eventually replace the decision maker. FAD consists of three distinct subsystems: the conceptual level, which is the methodological level; the second level, which is for planning and intertool usage; and the local intelligent tools level. The novel aspect of the system is the introduction of a dynamic aspect in the classical knowledge base and a way of verifying consistency and integrity of data. Also presented is a variant of the blackboard architecture, involving the transformation of the triggering agent in the methodological level
