Abstract :
We propose a novel and simple active gain equalization method for transoceanic wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) transmission systems. With this method, the controllable gain tilt after 9000-km transmission was confirmed to be more than /spl plusmn/10 dB over 12-nm signal bandwidth.
