Abstract :
The canonical 4-D Chua´s circuit is a special one of the higher dimensional Chua´s circuits and can realize every eigenvalue of four dimensions. This paper studies hyper-chaos in this circuit in two cases: one is applying the three-segment odd symmetrical piecewise-linear resistor; the other is applying the two-segment piecewise-linear resistor. The dynamical behaviors of the circuit are investigated by the bifurcation analysis and the Lyapunov exponent spectrums.
