  • Abstract
At present, domestic researchers of wireless sensor network concentrate their attentions on the ZigBee´s applications, and there is no public protocol stack, the purpose of this study is to realize the ZigBee protocol stack, then user could break away from depending on the underlying protocol API interfaces. Based on the in-depth analysis of the ZigBee protocol architecture, this paper described in detail the design of ZigBee MAC layer protocol in the 4 ways: the package of the MAC frame structure, avoiding the conflict of channel access, the realization of synchronization between devices, send and receive of MAC frame. So it could implement the effective access to the channel by using the physical layer interface function. Finally, the related function test of MAC layer is given, the results show that the system is running properly and stable. I believe this will be a certain reference for the developer of ZigBee wireless sensor networks.
