  • Abstract
Since single node spectrum sensing suffers from the influence of the noise, shadow effect, multi-path fading and “hidden terminal”, for Cognitive Radio (CR) Systems, cooperative spectrum sensing algorithm is proposed. However, the current existed cooperative spectrum sensing algorithms mostly adopt the equal weight data integration and do not consider the difference of detection performance among Secondary Users (SUs) in the real environment. A plant can adjust its distribution of the auxin by sensing the light source, and then change its phototropic direction to get the best growth condition, so this paper proposes a weighted cooperative spectrum sensing algorithm based on phototropism. It solves the problem that traditional cooperative spectrum sensing algorithm can´t adapt to environmental change and improves the detection performance. The simulation results demonstrate the performance of proposed algorithm in this paper is better than “and” and “or” algorithm, i.e. traditional cooperative spectrum sensing algorithm under the same signal-to-noise ratio.
