Abstract
The problem of determining a finite region of attraction of the state-space origin is considered for the class of nonlinear control systems with scalar nonlinear feedback. A simple procedure that does not require the verification of any frequency domain condition is described. It is a direct method in the time domain, specifically tailored to the particular nonlinear function under consideration. Comparison of the results obtained by the present method with those of classical approaches is encouraging, demonstrating the favorable behavior of the proposed technique
