Abstract
Images of fluid being swallowed have been obtained by electrical impedance tomography in transverse and coronal planes on the neck. Normal subjects swallowed 20 ml volumes of test solutions of different electrical conductivities. Imaging sequences were obtained with a temporal resolution of 110 ms. From the images a pharyngeal transit time parameter could be calculated
