Abstract
This paper describes a concept of electric and heat energy supplying system for a planned research and education centre. The proposed structure of energy delivery system fulfills the microgrid paradigm objectives such as: distributed generation and load scheduling, load and energy generation forecasting and energy trade on an local energy market, etc. All of these are the components of the energy management system based on the multi agent systems technique. In order to verify the concept of energy management system application, a steady-state simulation model of the proposed microgrid has been prepared. Electric load-flow calculations have been made based on the assumed typical scenarios of the research and education centre microgrid operation. The performed calculations confirm that the designed electric energy sources and storage units are able to meet the power demand in various modes and states of the proposed structure of research and education centre microgrid.
