Abstract
The scattering of a plane electromagnetic wave by a raindrop is solved using the method of auxiliary sources. The scattering amplitude is calculated for various incident and scattered angles by using horizontal and vertical incident fields. The derived results are compared with existing ones in the form of real and imaginary part of the scattering amplitude taken from the open literature.
