Abstract
In this paper, we consider the channel access and power allocation problem for secondary users in a time division multiple access (TDMA) cognitive radio network. An algorithm is proposed to minimize the total transmit power while ensuring that SU queue lengths are stable. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve a good tradeoff between the power consumption and the queue length.
