Abstract :
An internal antenna using a novel feeding structure is proposed for multi-band mobile handsets. The proposed antenna has the balanced feeding line realized by using a short circuit and is excited by electromagnetic coupling. The proposed technique makes antenna size considerably small and gives a good current distribution on the ground plane. Therefore, antenna development with the features of good radiation efficiency, broad bandwidth, and less interference with a human head/body is relatively easy.
