Abstract :
Mass customization is a new manufacturing trend in which mass-market products are quickly modified one at a time based on customers´ needs. Body scanners will play a critical role in mass customization because they enable retailers to rapidly collect three-dimensional (3D) data for each consumer. In this article, we discuss how to deal with the three-dimensional (3D) data based on fuzzy particle swarm optimization clustering algorithm. The results show it´s an effective method.
