Abstract
The Motorola/Titan team has developed a UHF SATCOM terminal that provides the tactical user full-function UHF communications. From the basic line-of-sight communication to the multiplexed DAMA (demand assigned multiple access) networks, the MDT (Multipurpose DAMA Terminal) provides connectivity in a single manpack package. Designed-in ruggedness and capacity for growth in capability assure the user that the terminal will support his needs into the future. The capabilities of the MDT are described, and attention is given to the system architecture, the transceiver, the modem, and the user interface
