Abstract :
Concealed weapon detection based on passive millimeter wave imaging requires a high spacial resolution to achieve useful output. In order to meet this requirement while decreasing the overall imaging time, the approach presented here employs a mechanically scanned focal plane array at 94 GHz. In this paper, details about a four-channel scanning radiometer setup are given using a novel compact W-band receiver. Finally, the measured data alongside with the required channel equalization and superresolution-based image enhancement are discussed.
