            Abstract : 
Autocorrelation of ultrashort pulses using two-photon absorption provides a convenient and sensitive alternative to standard techniques using nonlinear crystals. We review experiments using commercially available laser diodes for ultrasensitive autocorrelation wavelengths around 1.5 /spl mu/m.
