Abstract
Application of the principle of singular perturbation to the simulation of electric power system dynamics is studied. The proposed method is used in place of Newton´s method to simultaneously solve the difference equations and algebraic equations in implicit integration techniques. It is much faster than Newton´s method per step when the step is the proper length. This method also has high accuracy
