Abstract :
A strategy that emphasizes the use of computer and telecommunications technologies to realize the social and economic benefits of rural development is outlined. This strategy intimately integrates the government, business, and education sectors of society, and involves the establishment of a rural resource center for implementation. Government would coordinate the activities of the center and provide support for joint rural development projects involving educators, socially and technologically oriented researchers, and private sector consultants
