Abstract :
Analyzed the deformation, internal forces and stress of throttle slice of shock absorber by elastic mechanic, the formula of the minimal permission thickness of single design throttle slice was established, and the slice stress coefficient and analytic formula were found through the relation with the deformation. Followed is a practical example for radial, circumferential and combined stress computation of throttle slice with this new method, together with its approximately computation by machine design handbook and numerical simulation by ANSYS, compared the methods for stress computation. The design thickness of single slice was less than the minimal permission thickness; the tests of characteristic and endurance of shock absorber were conducted. The test results show that the new stress computation method and the formulas for throttle slice are accurate enough, the formula for the minimal permission thickness of single design throttle slice is effective, and the method of superposition slices is effective, not only to compute the stress accurately at any radius, but also to design the thickness of single throttle slice.
