  • Abstract
This paper presents a large-scale live video streaming system-Beezone. Beezone adopts a gossip-like protocol to construct an unstructured P2P application layer overlay, which can be used in IPv4/v6 hybrid network environment. Meanwhile, beezone can make good use of IPv6 bandwidth, which makes the playback smooth and reduces latency at end users. Beezone broadcast the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa with 755Kbps video stream and attracted more than 1,000,000 clicks in the first two weeks. The number of peak concurrent online users is 5,000 with IPv4 address and 3,000 with IPv6 address, which shows the system works well.
