Abstract :
In military simulation field, the nature environment is a base factor which affects the simulation result, especially in sea battlefield because the sea environment is more complex than the air. Sea environment is usually treated as a separated node or a part of specifically simulation entity in distributed simulation system. It is easy to realize but difficult to keep coherence between all simulation entities. This paper introduces the architecture of sea battlefield simulation platform, and it regards sea environment as an integrated and collaborative world which surround and impact simulation entities. Based on the principle, the platform architecture combines sea environment model and runtime infrastructure. Simulation Model do data interchanging with its own environment slice, and all the slices communication with each other by acoustic propagation model (such as ray tracing) and distributed simulation technologies (such as HLA). The platform therefore provides simulation developer interfaces described by environment parameters, not by network glossaries. It will benefit domain expert to develop simulation model and build simulation systems rapidly. This paper also gives a simulation system base on the platform for demonstration and verification.
