Abstract
The use of digital beam forming planar phased array is well-known in the radar field. Such an antenna generally consists of a matrix including up to several thousands of sensors laid out to form a rectangular plane surface. Such an antenna has drawbacks: expensive, big and heavy, and therefore cannot be easily integrated into a fixed or mobile platform. The purpose of this summary is to provide an insight into the cruciform antenna, an antenna capable of mitigating these disadvantages
