Abstract :
Coded cooperation is an efficient way to achieve transmit diversity at the mobile unit with single antenna. This paper presents a novel cooperation coding system in use of concatenated trellis coded modulation. Simulation results show that the parallel concatenation of inner and outer encoders of the proposed system provides significant performance gains, and the M-ary modulation employed in cooperative coding can obtain higher spectral efficiency with only slight bit error rate (BER) degradation.
